We're Brigette and Demetrious, the faces behind Southern Roots.

We may be building this business in Kansas, but our hearts will always belong to the Gulf Coast of Alabama. Brigette is from Bay Minette, and Demetrious is from just across the bay in Mobile—the true birthplace of Mardi Gras (yes... we said it 😆).

Those Gulf Coast roots have shaped who we are, how we cook, and what Southern hospitality means to us. The fresh Gulf flavors, the rich Southern traditions, and the way food brings people together have always been a part of our lives.

For as long as we can remember, we've dreamed about owning a food business. We've talked about it, planned it, and imagined what it could become. Now, we're finally taking the leap and making that dream a reality.

Southern Roots is more than a food brand to us. It's our way of bringing a little piece of home to our new home. We can't wait to share the flavors we grew up with, create new memories with our community, and build something we're proud to leave behind.
