Originally from Slovakia, Alexandra came to Wichita State University in 2017 as an international student-athlete, competing on the women’s tennis team while earning her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She went on to earn a master’s degree in Sport Management and is now pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership at WSU, where she also serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Sport & Leadership Studies.

Her experiences as both an athlete and a fan have sparked a passion for sport tourism and the impact sporting events can have on communities. She is looking forward to connecting with tourism professionals from across Kansas, building relationships, and gaining new perspectives that she can bring to her teaching and future career.

Kansas has become a place where Alexandra hopes to continue building her career and becoming more involved in the community, using her background in sport, education, and leadership to make an impact.

We’re excited to welcome her to the Kansas Tourism Conference and grateful to SportsKS for investing in the next generation of Kansas tourism professionals! 🌻
