✌ MAKE A TIE-DYE WOOFSTOCK SHIRT 😎 For the first time ever at Woofstock, we’ll have a DIY tie-dye station for one-of-a-kind Woofstock souvenirs ❤️🐕 A variety of shirt sizes and dye colors will be available, as will gloves/aprons to keep yourself clean during the process! We’ll also supply a ziplock bag to transport the shirt in 🐾

The Tie-Dye Tent is just one of endless fun things to do at Woofstock! After getting your pup’s zoomies out at the Agility Course, Lure Course, and Ruff Races, check out the Costume Contest, Kids’ Area, and MORE 🤯 Guests can do activities to tire out their dogs, stock up on goodies from vendors, then hit the food trucks, and head to the stage! There’ll be live music and events throughout the day, including a foam party and a dog vs human eating contest 🐕 Woofstock even has a dog-friendly B**r Garden- don’t miss out!

Meet Birthday Cake Oreo, our newest Subaru of Wichita Su-Paw-Star 🚗 She wasn’t having the best time in the shelter, so we sent her back to her foster home 🎂 This sweet girl is 1.5 years old and weighs 57 lbs. She’s kind, calm, patient, loving, and absolutely adores attention ❤️ Birthday Cake Oreo loves getting pets, kisses, hugs, cuddles, and spending time with her people. She knows “sit,” “down,” “get down,” “off,” and “back up,” and she’s very treat-motivated, making her eager to learn 🍖 She enjoys short walks, exploring new places, and playing fetch, although she’s still working on bringing the ball back 🎾 She’s generally low energy and would much rather relax in a shady spot. She’s crate trained, though she’d prefer to be near her people, and she’s still working on potty training. She can be a little enthusiastic when taking treats and giving hugs, but she’s learning to be gentle and is making great progress. Loud, repeated noises can make her nervous, but she looks to her person for reassurance and quickly settles down. Birthday Cake Oreo was very gentle and patient with her two puppies and showed friendly, playful body language around dogs, but a dog-to-dog introduction is recommended if she’ll have a canine sibling. With a calm introduction, she was curious and friendly toward a resident cat, though she has also chased the cat when introductions weren’t handled properly. She’s also a great car passenger, although she may keep an eye out for any loose snacks 🚗 Birthday Cake Oreo would love a family looking for a loving companion to snuggle with, take on short adventures, build her confidence, and continue working on her training. And after raising two puppies of her own, she’s officially ready to be someone’s baby! She was spayed yesterday, so no more puppies for this sweet momma. 📚 READ TO ROVER 🐾 Bring the kids (Grades 1st-5th) to KHS on Saturday, October 10th, from 10-11:30 AM! We’ll have 30-minute read times at 10:00, 10:30, and 11:00 AM (limit 1 session per child) ❤️ This program is designed to improve children's reading and communication skills. We ask a $5 refundable deposit, which will be returned when you arrive. If you do not come, the deposit will be kept as a donation. Halloween costumes will be allowed, although we ask no masks 🎃 We're excited to partner with Love On A Leash, who will be providing certified therapy dogs for this paw-some service! 🎬 HALLOWEEN FURRY FILM FRIDAY 🎃 Our monthly kid movie night will be on Friday, October 16th, from 6-8:30 PM here at KHS 🐶 Bring by the kiddos (Grades 1st - 5th) for a night of pizza, which will generously be provided by Digs Dog Care West, popcorn, ice cream, and movies with some of our furry friends ❤️ Kids can wear their Halloween costumes, though we ask no masks to keep the pets comfortable 🐾 It’s always a lot of fun and will give parents the night off! Meet Cosma, a 4-year-old girl who was found as a stray about 4 months ago 🐕 She weighs 42 lbs and was surrendered because the person who found her was unable to find her owner or place her with a family. She's affectionate, talkative, curious, friendly, active, and social ❤️ We would recommend a home without cats, as she tries to nip/bite them, and supervision around young kids due to her liking to jump. She has lived with two dogs, whom she was playful around, as well as a small dog, whom she was friendly around but would tackle 🐶 During our time in the play yard, she gave me a hug and did not want to let go for a second 🤗 She enjoys pets, cuddling, running errands, running, and going on walks, though she tends to pull on the leash. We'd highly recommend grabbing a Weiss Walkie leash to relieve the pressure on her throat 🦮 She needs training on when to go potty, as she was let out every 45 minutes to help avoid accidents. She is kennel-trained. Her ideal home would have no small animals and be willing to train her! If you can take that on, come meet Cosma today!
