52 years. That's how long it had been since an American team won the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. ππ
Wichita's own Caleb Grill helped end it, going 4-0 with NBA G League United in Beijing and taking down Rytas Vilnius 89-86 in the final. Second title of 2026 for the Maize alum! πͺ
βAs a kid, everybody always dreamed of being in this opportunity,β Grill said. βI want to thank the people who have helped put me in this position to fulfill a dream Iβve had since I was a little kid. Iβm just trying to take it all in and be a sponge everywhere Iβm going.β

Happy Trails, Windy!
After years of pumping up crowds at Equity Bank Park, Windy the Wind Surge mascot has officially hung up his cleats! As Wichita's Double-A club prepares to become the Wichita Turbo Tubs next season, we couldn't let Windy's last homestand pass without a proper send-off.
Thanks for the high-fives, the dugout dance-offs, and years of making Wichita baseball a little more fun, Windy.
Enjoy the retirement, you've earned it!
