It has been an amazing few days at the Certified Angus Beef Annual Conference in Marco Island, Fl.

It was really heartwarming to hear some of the stories of families that were honored and recognized for their dedication to the Beef Industry!

It is with sadden hearts, we announce the passing of Cindy’s mother. Lorene Keller Shearer of Frankfort, Ks. was 97 years old. She was a deeply religious servant of God and lived an amazing life.

Lorene was the Matriarch of our family, she had four grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. On behalf of Cindy and our family Thank You for prayers and warm comments!

Yesterday was a somber day in the Texas Angus Association! I have had the opportunity to know a lot of tremendous Cow Men over the years! There was none finer than Sam Foley.

To hear his Grand kids testify about their memories and what he meant to them was a tribute to the Good Human being he was!

Rest in Peace Sam!
