The rain didn’t stop us! Our students and staff gathered this morning for our See You at the Pole event to pray for our nation, our school, and our community.

It was a truly meaningful and moving time, and we were grateful to see so many come together in faith and unity. 🙏

A special thank you to the students and staff who helped organize and make this event possible. Your leadership, commitment, and willingness to serve helped create a beautiful morning for everyone who attended.

We are grateful for moments like these that remind us of the power of coming together, lifting one another up, and covering our school and community in prayer. 🩵💛

Thank you, Bruins, for making this morning so special!

“I want to take a moment to recognize Marcques Knight, one of our amazing custodians at Beddingfield High, for an act of kindness that truly speaks to the kind of person he is. 🌟

I recently received a phone call from Amber Coley, a parent of one of my former students. She called specifically because she wanted me to know about the kindness Mr. Knight showed her family during a very frightening moment. On the second day of school, Ms. Coley and her middle-school aged son were involved in a serious car accident. Mr. Knight happened to come upon the accident and stopped to help. She described him as “an angel” and a calm presence during an incredibly scary situation. He stayed with her and her son, offering reassurance and helping to keep them calm until EMS arrived.

Ms. Coley shared how incredibly grateful she is that Mr. Knight was there that day. As she spoke about his kindness and compassion, I couldn't help but share with her, “That’s the same Mr. Knight we get to see every day.” The kindness he showed that family wasn't because anyone was watching or because it was part of his job. He simply saw people who needed help and chose to stop and be there for them.

Mr. Knight, thank you for representing the very best of Beddingfield High and Wilson County Schools - not just through the work you do for our school each day, but through the way you care for others. We are incredibly blessed to have you as part of our Bruin family. This is what it means to .” - From Beddingfield High Principal Jenny Hayes 🩵🐻
