What a privilege it is to serve our community. Over 300 community members joined us on Saturday for the Greatest American Cleanup. We filled eight dumpsters with bulky household items, and we filled a tractor trailer with tires. Thank you all for a great day! Ready to do some spring cleaning? Keep Barrow Beautiful is once again participating in the Great American Cleanup -- a chance to recycle a variety of goods just by swinging by Victor Lord Park from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 30!

Accepted items include:

✅ Scrap metal and metal objects
✅ Documents for shredding
✅ Electronics and flat panel TVs (no CRTs!)
✅ Appliances (non-freon)
✅ Eyeglasses
✅ Mattresses and box springs
✅ Bulky household items/furniture
✅ Standard tires (limit 8 per vehicle, restrictions apply)
✅ Car batteries

Items that are NOT allowed:

❌ Household garbage
❌ Construction materials
❌ Motor oil
❌ Paint (all types)
❌ Pressurized containers
❌ Flammable, explosive, toxic or corrosive materials

This event is open to Barrow County residents ONLY. We can't wait to see you there!
