I absolutely live for the "oooohhh" moments when the dots start to connect in a lesson.

One thing I love about being a music teacher is getting to try different techniques to help students learn. Some days it means sitting on the sidewalk playing with chalk to help a student visualize her letters. By the end of the lesson she was speed reading with accuracy. I always live for those "Ohhhh" moments no matter which way we get there. 😊💜🎹

Homeschoolers!
I love teaching homeschoolers as a former homeschooler myself! This is perfect for families who struggle with finding extracurriculars during the morning! Whether in home lessons, or in studio each offer a calming, educational, and fun musical break that fits your schedule! Start off September with a new instrument 🎹💜🎻

🎹A very belated post, but this amazing student finished his very first method books in record time! I am so very proud of his progress, enthusiasm, and commitment to lessons and practicing! Love moments like this!🎹
It's Recital Day!! I can't wait to see each student perform this afternoon. Each of them have worked so hard on their pieces, and this is an incredible opportunity for them to show how much they've learned! One of my students worked on a piece that he really wanted to learn! Unfortunately he will be unable to perform today, but I wanted to share how hard he has worked with everyone. This student has been taking lessons for less than 3 months, and I am proud of how much progress he has made. Here is his performance from Mary Poppins.

Music is written in black and white, but when it is played, the world fills with color.
