DVC Resale Experts
Welcome to DVC Resale Experts. We are the prem-EAR DVC resale company, helping you to buy or sell DVC
ROFR is the part of DVC resale that makes people nervous for no reason.
Here’s the simple version:
You agree on a price.
Disney gets a 30-day window to match it.
If they pass, the sale keeps moving.
If they buy it, the seller still gets paid.
The real takeaway? ROFR is mostly about pricing and timing, not panic.
If your contract is priced way under market, Disney may notice. If it’s priced fairly, the deal usually moves forward just fine. So no, it’s not the boogeyman.
It’s just one more part of the process you should understand before you make a move.
If you’re buying or selling, save this, it explains why Disney can step in, what it actually means, and why sellers usually don’t lose money. 🔽
ROFR sounds scary until you know what it actually is.
ROFR = Right of First Refusal.
Disney can step in and buy the contract at the same price before your buyer gets it.
The part most people miss:
Sellers usually still get the price they agreed to
Buyers are the ones who can lose the deal
Pricing too low can make Disney more likely to step in
So no, it’s not the boogeyman. It’s just one part of the process, and a normal one.
Save this if you’re thinking about buying or selling DVC, it can save you a lot of stress later.
ROFR is the 4 letters that make a lot of DVC sellers panic, but it’s usually not the villain people think it is.
Save this if you’re buying or selling a DVC contract, and comment “ROFR” if you want me to break down how it can affect your deal.
Here’s the simple version:
Disney has the right to buy the contract back at the same price you agreed on.
If they pass, your sale moves forward like normal.
If they take it, the seller still gets paid, the buyer just loses that contract.
The biggest factor is price.
If a contract is priced way below market, Disney is more likely to step in.
That’s why the right broker matters. You want someone tracking real ROFR data, not guessing.
Most of the fear comes from not understanding the process. Once you do, it’s a lot less scary.
Worth knowing before you make an offer.

Banking vs. borrowing DVC points, what’s the difference?
If you’re new to Disney Vacation Club, these two terms can sound confusing. But once you understand them, they can be incredibly useful when planning your Disney vacations! 🏰
🏦 Banking: You’re not going to use all your points this year? Eligible points can be moved into your next Use Year.
⬆️ Borrowing: Need more points for a vacation this year? You may be able to borrow eligible points from your next Use Year.
So basically…
Banking = save points for later.
Borrowing = use future points sooner.
There are deadlines and rules to keep in mind, so knowing how both work is an important part of maximizing your DVC membership.

A question we get all the time is "How does DVC resale work?" 🤔
DVC resale works by allowing current Disney Vacation Club owners to sell their DVC points on the secondary market—usually through a licensed DVC resale broker. As a buyer, you can browse available listings, choose a contract that fits your needs (resort, Use Year, number of points), and submit an offer.
Once your offer is accepted, the process includes:
✔️ Contract and paperwork preparation
✔️ Disney’s Right of First Refusal (ROFR) review
✔️ Closing with a licensed title company
✔️ Transfer of ownership into your name
The entire DVC resale process typically takes 8–12 weeks and can save you thousands compared to buying direct from Disney. Plus, you still get access to magical vacations year after year.
We know the process of selling your DVC contract may be intimidating or confusing at times, but we are here to help. Message us to start selling your DVC contract today!
So… how do Disney Vacation Club points actually work?
If you’ve ever looked into DVC and thought, “Wait… what do I actually DO with these points?” — you’re not alone!
DVC points are essentially your vacation currency. The number of points you own and the resort, room type, and time of year you choose all play a role in determining how many nights you can book.
That flexibility is one of the things DVC members love. You can use your points for different room sizes, different resorts, and different vacation lengths depending on your plans.
And once you understand how the points system works, Disney Vacation Club starts to make a LOT more sense. 👏
