Have you ever heard a harpsicord? How about one playing tunes from the Revolutionary War? Sign up for a seat and save the date for this Windsor Public Library program on Monday, August 24 at 6:30 PM. The Windsor Library Association helps fund and support library programs like this one!
The Windsor Public Library and the Abigail Wolcott Ellsworth Chapter DAR invite you to a program featuring the music of Connecticut's Revolution. What a Glorious Crash They Made will feature songs exclusively from Connecticut during the Revolutionary War, presented by music historian Richard Franklin Donohue. Mr. Donohue, singing and playing the harpsichord, will explore this fiery repertoire that in the words of John Adams “cultivated the sensations of Freedom.” This program will be on Monday, August 24 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.
In addition to the music history program, the Abigail Wolcott Ellsworth Chapter will present a newly-commissioned decorative quilt featuring America250 themes to be displayed in the Windsor Public Library.
