Northwoods Kitchen

A sickness, adventures, and lots of other random things...but I finally managed to launch the new line of earrings I was telling my friends I have been working on!
All completely from scratch and hand fabricated with "had, scavenged, donated, recycled, trash, repurposed items, and a couple of bulk purchased base supplies thrown in.
I designed and fabricated each piece from scratch myself, and no two pairs are alike. I have a small amount of back stock and will be making more as the days creep on.
See something you like?
Hit me up before Monday, when I stock them at a local store front! I'm so excited!

Spring is the time for new beginnings...and we have a new product launch at a favorite local farmstand this weekend!!!

We opened China Lake Provisions with the goals of reviving a cherished community hub - the old China General Store - and offering our neighbors the highest quality products featuring local, sustainable ingredients.

Who loves tea?
Who loves cocoa?
Who loves coffee?
Lattes????
Me too!!!
Who hates the garbage put into our food?
Me too!!!
So much that I made/foraged) began growing herbal tea ingredients and making my own beverages about fifteen years ago, and from my love of all these things, I made a beverage hybrid about a decade ago, and I've been drinking tea lattes and cocoa lattes ever since.
It's not complicated really, it's just putting a few things together to make a different thing.
I have noticed that corporations have somehow (there is definitely nothing new under the sun) begun making and promoting products like my neuro cocoa tea latte (4 or five years old) and my nervine tea latte (easily 10 years old), and so I figured I'd share my full recipe again, so that anyone that wants this delicious home made beverage can make it on their own, save money, and control the quality of ingredients that goes into it.
I will be editing this post tomorrow and I will leave the few master recipes here for you and anyone else to find.
I hope you're taking good care of yourself and that you're living well!!

Hey guys,
Are you under the weather and watching your relatives experience "flu like symptoms", and wish that you could give them something crafted carefully with foraged, homegrown and wild crafted ingredients, but find the price per oz at the store and online to be too high?
We have full pints of fortified elderberry syrup for $20 this week.
We know it's hard to know what to administer to our families to make them feel better, but know that elderberry syrup shortens duration and eases symptoms.
PM for more details or to order.
Be well.

Ezekiel 47:12

"12 Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.”
