🏡 I’ve had a LOT of conversations lately about interest rates.

And with the Fed meeting this week, I keep hearing the same question:

“Should I wait?”

My answer? Don’t let the headlines scare you into making—or delaying—a big decision.

The Fed doesn’t directly set mortgage rates, and a Fed increase doesn’t automatically mean mortgage rates rise by the same amount. There’s a much bigger picture.

Higher rates can mean fewer buyers competing, which may give you more negotiating power on price, closing costs, rate buydowns and other terms.

And if mortgage rates eventually come down? All those buyers who have been sitting on the sidelines may decide it’s finally time to jump back in — which could mean more competition for the same homes.

“Marry the house, date the rate?” Refinancing is never guaranteed.

You should buy when you find the right home, you’re comfortable with the payment, and the numbers make sense for YOU. 🏡💕
