We are so grateful that Crystal Boat visited our school and spoke to our 4th graders yesterday! Her and her daughter read their books to us and answered questions about what it is like to be an author! Thank you, Crystal and Afia! 💙✨

LFCPS has recently partnered with Hope and Comfort Hygiene Hub! Those of us struggling with food insecurity and the cost of inflation may not consider that we might also be struggling with hygiene insecurity. As a partner, Learning First is able to pick up hygiene items and distribute them to families FREE of charge! At our Back to School Block Party, we were able to distribute hundreds of items such as: laundry detergent, feminine hygiene products, soap, deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste. We will be setting up tables at all of our events this year, so be sure to stop by and take what you need. You can also contact your child’s grade level counselor who can send items home in your child’s backpack.

We are back! What a great few weeks we have had back with our students!

The science department jumped right into practicing the scientific method in 4th grade and the engineering design process in 5th grade these past two weeks! ✨🥼💙🧪
