WPD’s Neighborhood Response Team Arrests Shop Owner For Selling Illegal Items

In response to community concerns and complaints regarding double parking and public drinking, the Worcester Police focused a lengthy investigation on the A&C Market located at 6A Boylston Street. On September 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., members of the Worcester Police Neighborhood Response Team executed a search warrant at the A&C Market.

While searching the property, police located numerous boxes containing flavored to***co and vapes. Several containers of alcohol were located as well as multiple bags containing K2 also known as synthetic ma*****na, a Class C substance. Police also located and seized $3,144.00 in cash currency. Officers also located a digital scale which is consistent with distribution. The store has no liquor license and to***co exception to allow them to sell flavored to***co.

Sixty-year-old Julio Abreu was placed under arrest and charged with Distribution of a Class C Substance, Possession of a Class C Substance with Intent to Distribute, Illegal Sale of Alcohol without a Liquor License, and Illegal Sale of Flavored To***co.

The Yard Waste Drop-Off site located at 300 Chandler Street will be closed on Saturday, August 15, for an event.

The 1065 Millbury Street and 299 Clark Street Drop-Off sites will be open, and residents are asked to bring their yard waste to these locations.
