Thank you to everyone who joined us at this year’s Annual Meeting!

We were honored to welcome Carol Rose, Executive Director of the ACLU of Massachusetts for an important presentation about the role libraries play in protecting our freedom.

We were also proud to present the 2026 Dr. William F. And Betty O’Neil Service award to the Worcester Public Library Facilities team for their tireless efforts to keep WPL’s spaces welcoming and functional for our community.

And finally, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our outgoing Board President, Sue Hunt, for her leadership and dedication, and a warm welcome to our incoming Board President Viviana M. Abreu-Hernández. We’re so grateful to you both for your service on behalf of our Foundation.

A huge THANK YOU to the Worcester Red Sox for hosting a book drive in memory of Dolly Parton and her passion for books to benefit the Worcester Public Library! Woofster himself and other helpers visited today to drop off THOUSANDS of books donated to the WPL and other spaces of literacy needs. 📚🥰
