maybe I can finally find some closure on what happen to my first dog ever that made me understand the love between human and dog

July 3rd 2016 Sam “the black lab” ran off and away w fear from fireworks. From near 164th and 88th Ave. In Orland Park IL
He was 6 years old and lived there since a puppy. He was a neighborhood dog but never went further than down the block to play with his friends. (The adopter and her dogs)
despite 2 years of nonstop flyers, driveway drops, shelter searching, following leads states away we never found Sam. 10 years I still check leads. But at 16 years old he may not be with us or may not have much time if he still is. I have been hurt since and at this point am begging if he found a great home or someone knows someone who found a fixed grown Black lab and knows where he went.
I just need to say goodbye, I need closure and I think this may be a plea saying thank you for caring for him, I want you to continue or just need to know his story. years of searching and still need to know what happened to him. Please please share
