π Nourishing Young Minds, One Meal at a Time.
For the past 10 years, Eugena Primus has been a dedicated part of the Grenadines Initiativeβs School Feeding Program in Bequia. From her tuck shop opposite Bequia Anglican Primary School, Miss Eugena prepares daily meals for around 16 children, providing nourishment, care, and a little extra joy to their school day. ππ²
But her impact goes beyond the plate. Sometimes, she provides breakfast for children who arrive at school hungry, while also offering guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear. β€οΈ
As Miss Eugena puts it: βA starving body canβt sustain a curious mind.β When we nourish children, we help create the foundation for learning, growth, and a brighter future. πβ¨
You can help nourish the children in our feeding program too. Every contribution makes a difference.

Community Working Together for the Children of Bequia β¨
The Learning Center (TLC) recently received a wonderful donation of over 20 backpacks filled with school supplies, thanks to the generosity of Chelsea Ollivierre, her husband Kamal De Coteau, and her mom, Manicia Kydd, from the United States.
Chelsea holds a special connection to The Learning Center, having been one of its employees during its early days. Her decision to give back to the children of Bequia is a beautiful reminder that the impact of TLC continues to reach far beyond the walls of the Center.
Each backpack was packed with supplies to help students start the school year prepared, including rulers, erasers, number lines, pencils, crayons, notebooks, folders, and loose-leaf paper.π
This generous donation would not have been able to make its way to Bequia without the support of Roddy Dowers, owner of Ontrac SVG, who generously sponsored the shipping and customs clearance costs.
This is what community looks like, people near and far coming together, each playing a part in making a difference in the lives of our children. From the United States to Bequia, this joint contribution shows that when we work together, we can create meaningful opportunities and provide support where it is needed most.
The Learning Center is deeply grateful to Chelsea, Kamal, Manicia, and Roddy for helping to make this possible and for investing in the children of Bequia. β€οΈ

You canβt learn on an empty stomach β but for too many kids in the Grenadines, thatβs exactly what a school day looks like.
Nutrition isnβt separate from education. Itβs the fuel behind it: the focus to finish a math problem, the energy to make it through recess and back to class, the steadiness to actually absorb whatβs being taught.
Thatβs why The Grenadines Initiative partners with local schools to put real, nourishing meals on the table for students who need them.
Just $7 USD covers a full month of nutritious school lunches for one child. Small gift, big impact β link in bio to give today. π΄π₯

π₯π§― Investing in Our Youth, Investing in Our Future! π
Today, AR Island Investment, in collaboration with the Grenadines Initiative Summer Youth Fitness & Development Programme, gave our young participants an important lesson in fire safety and emergency preparedness. ππ©βπ
Beyond fitness and development, we believe in equipping our youth with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe, confident, and prepared. πͺπ½π±
And of course, we had to capture a moment with the incredible young people who make this programme so special! πΈπ
Building stronger bodies. Building brighter futures. Building safer communities. π»π¨β¨
ππͺπ½ Fuel the body. Feed the mind. Build the future! π±ππ½ββοΈ
We popped by just in time today to catch Rex from REX POLLARD/Grenadinesfitness sharing some valuable nutrition tips with the kids of the AR Youth Summer Program! π₯π‘
Before they hit their daily exercises, the young athletes got the lowdown on the importance of proper nutrition, healthy choices, and fueling their bodies for performance. πͺπ½β‘οΈ
Because getting stronger isnβt just about how you move β itβs also about what you put into your body! π₯¦πππ½ββοΈ
πββοΈ Speed. Technique. Confidence.
Today, our Youth Fitness & Development Program participants are sharpening their body mechanics and speed techniquesβbuilding the fundamentals that help them move smarter, faster, and stronger.
A big shoutout to our Fitness & Wellness Coach, REX POLLARD/Grenadinesfitness , for leading the session with expert guidance and helping our young athletes unlock their full potential. πͺπ₯

30 kids. One summer. Endless growth. πͺπ΄
The Summer Youth Fitness & Development Program is in full swing in Bequia β strength training, leadership development, nutrition education, and life skills like CPR and fire safety, all rolled into one summer.
During this session, the youth dug into nutrition basics β building balanced meals, understanding the main food groups (proteins, carbs, healthy fats), and staying properly hydrated. Special thanks to Dr. Ashborne Phillips for joining us to talk about the importance of healthy eating in preventing diet-related diseases like hypertension and diabetes. π₯π§
This is what investing in SVGβs youth looks like. π»π¨
