Today, I celebrate my daughter, Paige, who entered this world on 08•08•20 — a date I will forever hold close to my heart. ♾️

Seven years later, I look at you and see more than my little girl. I see potential, purpose, courage, and the promise of a next-generation leader.

Paige, may you grow knowing who you are, where you come from, and the responsibility that comes with the gifts placed within you. May you walk boldly, lead with wisdom, love with compassion, and never be afraid to stand in your truth.

You are not here simply to follow the world — you are here to help shape the world you inherit. 🌍✨

Today is for the women who keep going even when life feels heavy. The women who carry their children, their homes, their pain, their dreams, and still somehow find the strength to love deeply every single day.

As Vincentian women, many of us come from strong Kalinago roots — people of resilience, wisdom, survival, and spirit. That strength lives inside of us, even in the moments when we feel tired, lost, overwhelmed, or not good enough.

Motherhood is not always soft and picture-perfect. Some days are hard. Some days you cry in silence. Some days you question yourself. Some days you give your all and still feel unseen.

But I want every mother reading this to remember something today:

You are doing better than you think.
Your love matters.
Your presence matters.
And your journey matters too.

Do not be ashamed of where you are in life right now. Growth takes time. Healing takes time. Rebuilding takes time. Even on the days when you don’t feel your strongest, there is still power inside of you.

To the single mothers, the young mothers, the struggling mothers, the mothers trying to find themselves again — I see you. And I pray you continue to embrace your journey instead of comparing it to anyone else’s.

From our Kalinago spirit, we know what it means to survive, to adapt, to nurture, and to rise again.

So today, give yourself grace.
Speak kindly to yourself.
Celebrate how far you’ve come.
