BVI RFU is the home of rugby in the British Virgin Islands. Our Union has humble beginnings.

In the 1960s a rugby club was established on the back of impromptu matches between a handful of expatriates living on the islands and visiting Royal Airforce engineers. Our ties with the United Kingdom's armed forces continue to this day, with regular matches being held between the BVI and visiting Royal Navy ships. Today we have grown to become one of the leading rugby clubs in the Caribbean, wi

Huge congratulations to all of our younger players who graduated this year.

Everyone at BVI Rugby is incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved.

Balancing your studies with rugby isn’t easy, and you’ve shown what it means to be both scholars and athletes.

We wish you every success in whatever comes next. Keep working hard, enjoy the journey, and go on to do great things.

Once part of the BVI Rugby family, always part of the BVI Rugby family.

BVI Rugby Dinner Raises Record Funds for Grassroots Rugby

The annual BVI Rugby Dinner returned in spectacular fashion this past weekend, delivering an unforgettable evening of entertainment, generosity and celebration, while raising record funds for grassroots rugby in the British Virgin Islands.

Hosted at Scrub Island Resort, the event brought together players, sponsors, supporters and friends of the club for what proved to be one of the most successful evenings in the club’s history.
Guests gathered at Trellis Bay Market for Prosecco and refreshments before boarding ferries to Scrub Island, where cocktails on the beach terrace set the tone for the evening ahead. Scrub Island Resort once again delivered a fantastic dining experience, complemented by wines supplied by The French Deli.

The evening’s guest speakers, Andy Goode and Jim Hamilton, were a huge hit with the crowd, sharing hilarious stories, rugby anecdotes and behind-the-scenes tales from their playing careers and life on The Rugby Pod. Their energy and humour helped create a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere throughout the night.
A major highlight of the evening was the Grand Auction, which achieved record-breaking results thanks to the incredible generosity of attendees, sponsors and donors. Funds raised will go directly towards supporting grassroots rugby development across the territory as the club looks ahead to an exciting and ambitious 2026/2027 season.
Special thanks were extended to the evening’s sponsors and supporters, including Alvarez & Marsal, EMCS, Campbell’s, Appleby, Maples, VP Bank, Emery Cook, Serec Caribbean, Harneys, ESA Solutions and Deloitte, whose continued support plays a vital role in the growth of rugby in the BVI.
The Club would also like to thank Andrew Emery for expertly leading the auction, while longtime club supporter Kiwi kept the evening flowing brilliantly as host and compère.

The celebrations continued late into the night back at Trellis Bay Market, where guests enjoyed music, dancing, karaoke and plenty of post-dinner celebrations.

Finally, the Club would like to extend a huge thank you to the incredible donors whose generosity made the auction possible:

Necker Island, Quintessence Charters, Soul Rebel, Bitter End Yacht Club, Rosewood Little Dix Bay, Nail Bay, Mango Bay Resort, Peter Island Resort, Tortola Express, Blue Sky CM, Coca Maya, House of Luxury, Guavaberry, Riteway, Long Bay Resort, Aristocat, International Motors, The Bunker, Nova at ONB and Blue Water Divers.

BVI Rugby would like to thank everyone who attended, donated, sponsored and supported the event. The continued backing of the community ensures rugby in the British Virgin Islands continues to grow both on and off the field.
