As part of our Badass Underdog Program, Dave is available through foster-to-adopt. While he shines in a home environment, adoption events can be overwhelming and distracting for him. We expect he’ll need a little time to settle into a new space before his full goofy, affectionate personality takes center stage. Foster-to-adopt gives approved adopters the chance to get to know Dave at home first and make sure it’s the right fit before finalizing the adoption.

GGGOOOAAAALLLL!!!! Spain's favorite striker has just become available for Adoption. Meet World Cup winner: Lamine Yamal.

⚽ Lamine Yamal comes in at 2 years old and 35 pounds. For such a young soccer star, he's already turning heads.

🍑 Lamine is a southern fellow who was found wandering the streets of Georgia. He was brought into the shelter there and recently made the trip up north. He's settling into his NYC foster home.

♥️ Though Lamine is shy at first, he can be a really sweetie. In his first foster home, he became very attached to his foster dad. It's amazing what a little time and a lot of treats can do!

She may only weigh 9 pounds, but this little lady has enough star power to fill the Grand Ole Opry. 🎶✨

This , please welcome the one, the only… Dolly PAWton.

Originally from Texas, 7-year-old Dolly is brand-new to NYC and still figuring out what this next chapter is all about. But even on day one, her foster could tell there was something special about her.

First of all, she has places to be. Dolly has perfected the signature chihuahua prance, complete with an adorable little hop over sidewalk ledges. She’s an absolute dream on leash and loves exploring her new neighborhood, taking in the sights and trying to make sense of this big new world around her.

Back at home, Dolly is gentle, independent, and refreshingly uninterested in drama. Dogs? Fine. Cats? Also fine. New people? She’ll take them under consideration. She’s perfectly happy minding her own business until there are snacks involved—at which point, consider her clocked in and working 9 to 5.

In fact, one of Dolly’s first orders of business in foster care was locating her puppy foster sibling’s peanut butter jar. Clearly, this girl knows what she wants.

Dolly is still settling in, so her foster is giving her plenty of patience as she learns her new routine and realizes she’s safe. She already loves relaxing in her crate, settles beautifully when given a cozy space of her own, and has shown herself to be an incredibly sweet, gentle houseguest.

She also has a heart murmur that requires daily medication, so her golden years may look a little slower than her younger ones. But if Dolly Parton has taught us anything, it’s that you don’t need to slow down your sparkle just because you’ve been around awhile.

Right now, Dolly PAWton is simply looking for the person who will give this tiny country queen the love, security, and snacks she deserves.
