In netball, the game is won in the transition, in that split-second movement where defence turns to attack. But it is also won in the unwavering accuracy of the shooters and the defensive grit that forces turnovers. It is a game of connection, where trust allows players to move with precision and every player plays their part to ensure that when the final whistle blows, their combined effort is reflected on the scoreboard.

As we reflect on the resounding success of the Inaugural Marist National Netball Cup held last Friday the 10th and Saturday the 11th, Marist St. Joseph’s Sports Club and Marist Netball are filled with gratitude for the incredible support we received.

A special tribute to a true legend - Rosemarie Lome

1990
Began her journey with the Samoa Netball Association as a volunteer for the grassroots program.

1991
Represented Samoa as a player at the Netball World Cup.

1992
Served as Head Coach for the U21 squad at the World Youth Games in Suva.

Leadership
Served as the CEO of Netball Samoa and as an Executive Member of the Oceania Netball Federation, driving governance and sustainable growth for the sport.

For over 3 decades, Rosemarie has been a constant force in grassroots netball, driving development programs through Samoana Fitness. Today she continues this legacy as the Head Coach of the TWINZ Netball Club. Her unwavering passion for nurturing young local talent has shaped generations of athletes, serving as a testament to her commitment to the sport and our community.
