🐾❤️ ROADSIDE-RESCUE FOR LITTLE POPPY ❤️🐾

Not every rescue is planned, but when an animal needs help, we simply have to act. 🥹🐾
While we were in Savai’i on Tuesday finalising our upcoming outreach programme, a call to the Apia clinic came across requesting adorable little Poppy to be seen, who had something stuck in her mouth, (suspected chicken bone). We had no proper tools or equipment with us, but there was no time to hesitate.

With quick thinking, teamwork and whatever we had available, requested owner Robyn of Savaii Lagoon Resort to bring the smallest plyer they can get and meet us on the way as we were in Lano at the moment they contacted us, met at the beginning of Saleaula and we managed to safely remove a piece of bamboo skewer that was lodged in her mouth. 🙏❤️

Thankfully, Poppy is now well, safe and doing okay! 🐶💕

It’s moments like this that remind us why we do what we do. No matter the circumstances, we will always try our best for the animals who need us.
All for the love of animals. Always. 🐾❤️🇼🇸

💙🐾 A Heartfelt Thank You to SVS Veterinary Supplies 🐾💙 for generously donating a Dental Machine to APS Samoa.🙏🏻❤️

Last Friday, our team finally got to put this amazing equipment to use, allowing us to begin performing dental procedures to help improve the health and comfort of our furry friends. 🦷🐶🐱

It was also wonderful seeing Dr. Tiaan Gobius and our local vet assistant, working so professionally and attentively together throughout the procedures. Their dedication, teamwork and genuine care for every animal truly shine through in these photos. 👩🏻‍⚕️👨🏻‍⚕️

Thank you for helping us provide better care and a better quality of life for the animals entrusted to us and making a difference, one furry friend at a time. 🐾❤️🙏🏼✨
