PhysicalScience JSJTuition StudyTips MatricSupport

Finding the right tutor isn’t just about finding someone who can explain Maths or Science. It’s about finding someone who will be there for your child throughout their high school journey.

When choosing a tutor, consider these questions:

✅ Is tutoring their long-term career, or just a temporary side hustle?
✅ Do they have qualifications in both the subject and education?
✅ Do they have experience teaching students at your child’s grade level?
✅ Do they understand the CAPS or IEB curriculum?
✅ Can they adapt their teaching style to suit different learners?
✅ Will they still be there next year if your child needs ongoing support?
✅ Do they communicate well with parents and provide regular feedback?

A good tutor doesn’t just help a student pass the next test—they build confidence, develop study skills, and create a strong foundation for future success.

Remember, the cheapest or most convenient option isn’t always the best investment. The right tutor can make a lasting difference in your child’s education.

What qualities do you think make an excellent tutor? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments! 👇
