The Run Alex legacy continues, one move at a time.♟️ 🤩

The little ones from our Juniors programme got to experience the game of chess by being taught basic skills by exceptional young coaches. 🤩 As a follow through from the Run Alex Holiday Programme that took place during the winter school holidays and keen interest from the children, today was the start of an hour long Saturday sessions of playing the game of chess. A game that has the potential to improve cognitive skills like memory, planning, and problem-solving.

A big thank you 🙏🏾 to the volunteer coaches whose passion for the game is bound to further develop the chess skills of our little girls and boys.

This coming saturday, we will be having a run in her honour , everyone from the comminity of Alexandra is welcome to join us and everyone else from all walks of life, you can either come to walk or run.

NB: We kindly asking all men who will be running Jeppe Marathon on sunday and those available to come through and marshall/support on saturday.

Our Juniors will be taking on the Fat Cats 10K as the Run Alex Juniors 5KM Pacer Bus, with a goal of keeping the group together and finishing under 35 minutes! 🔥

The Zithulele Sinqe Foundation Series Leg 3 is back for its second year! Three disciplines to choose from, come challenge yourself and don’t forget bring along the little ones and enjoy a day full of fun, speed, and community spirit:

- 1 Mile with 10 options to select
- 1 Mile walk with 4 options and
- 5km run through the street on East and West bank
