KILLARNEY’S ALL TAR RALLY IS UNIQUE
The 2026 All Tar Rally at Killarney on Saturday 8 August showcases another unique action-packed event with rally, rallycross and track cars challenging each other over tight, very technical stages.
Round 4 of the Western Cape Club Rally Championship is exactly what its name suggests: it’s run over a number of short, very tight special stages using sections of the main circuit, the access roads - and even through the pits paddock!
There are six stages totaling 70 kilometres - all in and around the Killarney facility, and all on tar instead of the usual gravel roads, so it’s suitable for - and open to - circuit racing cars, rallycross cars and gymkhana cars as well as purpose-built rally cars.
WHEN: Saturday 8 August, 9:00am – 6:00pm
HOW MUCH:
WEBTICKETS: Adults R100, under-16s R10, under-12s free
AT THE GATE: Adults R130, under-16s R20, under-12s free
Spectating at a conventional rally usually entails a long trip out to the country and a lot of standing around outdoors – at the All Tar Rally you can watch most of the action sitting comfortably in the shade of the Joubert Pits Lounge balcony, with a delicious meal, an ice-cold beverage or a mug of Cape Town’s finest coffee at your elbow!
The balcony overlooks one of our kiddies play areas, so the most important members of your family are never out of your sight – and between stages there are exhibitions and displays to delight motorsport fans of all ages.
The All Tar Rally is tight, twisty and very intense - it’s like competing in a gymkhana course 70 kilometres long! More information from Terri Philander at [email protected]
Rico Barlow Racing's Nova Proto NP02 made a quick night pitstop during Round 3 of the SAES Killarney 6-hour ⛽️

THE 6 HOURS OF KILLARNEY WAS A LONG DAY’S JOURNEY!
Prize-giving for the headline six-hour endurance race at the SAES 6 Hours of Killarney on Saturday 1 August was a much quieter affair than the earlier ceremony for the sprint-racing classes – partly because it came at the end of a long day’s journey into night, but mostly because the magnitude of what these teams had accomplished had not yet sunk in.

SPRINT RACES HYPE UP THE 6 HOURS OF KILLARNEY!
Prize-giving for the sprint-racing classes at the SAES 6 Hours of Killarney on Saturday 1 August was a showcase of some of the finest young talent in South African motorsport, contrasted with track-smart, grown-up competitors such as Malcom Rapson, known as ‘the fastest accountant in Africa’ – but nowhere was this more evident than in the MRSSA Superbike races, with a 1-2 for Max Munton and his father Klint!

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE FANS
The Grid Walk during the lunch break at the SAES 6 Hours of Killarney on Saturday 1 August was crowded, chaotic and just great fun as fans gathered around the crowd-favourite cars, notable Ricky Giannoccaro’s pink Lamborghini, Tate Bishop’s brand new Angri Racing Praga R1 and the IRC Mustang of Australian visitor Daniel Jilesen – which is powered by a Chevrolet LS V8!
