📣Sat 10th October - HTRC Shops CLOSED⚠️

Dear Customers, please note that all our HTRC Charity Shops will be closed this Saturday.

We have the wonderful opportunity to celebrate our 20 year birthday anniversary with the teams at the POP Centres which we support through Goedgedacht Trust. 🙌

We are so excited for our HTRC staff to meet the children who are the true beneficiaries of all our hard work and to partake in a celebratory boerie roll with them, their youth leaders and the staff from Goedgedacht who make the vital work with these children happen.💙

We thank you our lovely customers for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you back in stores as usual from Monday 12th Oct (keep your eyes open 👀- it’s going to be an EXCITING and FUN Friday ahead 😜).

Your generosity truly makes a difference! Thank you💫

Here’s a little sneak peek at what’s coming for summer 👀☀️

Summer is almost here, and our shops are getting ready for the new season with colourful pre-loved finds for the whole family. Think summer dresses, kids’ essentials, hats, beach gear, shorts and plenty more waiting to hit the shop floor! 🛍️

Remember, our charity shop treasures are often one of a kind, so if you spot something you love, don’t wait too long.

Summer stock is coming… and this is only a little taste of what you’ll find! 💙

Happy Teacher’s Day to the incredible teachers who inspire, encourage and help shape young minds every day! 🍎📚

Looking for a thoughtful way to say thank you? Pop into Help The Rural Child and create a one-of-a-kind gift using pre-loved treasures. Pair a beautiful vase with flowers, a plant pot with a little greenery, or pre-loved candlesticks with candles from The Candle Merchant 💙

And for the teacher who loves to read, choose a special book or give them a Help The Rural Child book voucher and let them pick their own favourites!

A thoughtful gift, a more sustainable choice, and a purchase that helps support rural children — now that’s a gift that does more good 🌱

♻️ONE bag of donations = ONE HUNDRED tummies filled 🍴

Did you know, that every bag of donations you generously support us with is helping to feed hundreds of children?🙌

These children arrive at Goedgedacht Trust’s POP Centres every day knowing they'll receive something many of us take for granted… a warm, nutritious meal.

Every donation, purchase and act of support makes this possible. Thank you for helping us nourish young minds and hearts every single day 💙

What we throw away doesn’t simply disappear… 😢🌍♻️

Choosing to re-use, donate and shop second-hand helps give perfectly good items a longer life, reduces unnecessary waste in the manufacture, transportation and consuming of new items, and makes a more sustainable choice for our planet.

And when you donate to or shop at Help The Rural Child Charity Shops, your pre-loved items can do even more — helping support rural children and their communities.

Small changes in our choices can leave a better footprint 🌱
