Jakob Ingebrigsten makes a triumphant return to the track with his fourth-straight gold medal in the 5000m at the European Athletics Championships, his first race in 11 months. Ingebrigsten takes down a crowded field with a dominant kick in the final 100m to run 13:15.29.

Jakob will return to the Diamond League circuit on August 27 in Zurich where he will race the 1500m against Cole Hocker, Issac Nader and Yared Nuguse.

Jonah Koech has accepted a three-year ban for blood doping after atypical values in his Athlete Biological Passport — flagged around his 1500m win at the 2025 USATF Outdoor Championships. All of his results from July 30, 2025 are disqualified, stripping him of that national title.
