Today, at TSIBA, we celebrate women, not only for who they are, but for everything they pour into the lives of others.

To the mothers, sisters, aunties and grandmothers behind our students, the women who hold families together in ways the world may never see. The ones who stretch the last rand, pay a registration fee, send money for transport, make sure there is food on the table, listen through the difficult nights, wipe the tears, speak courage into uncertain hearts and, above all, pray. 🙏🏾❤️

You may not always sit in our classrooms, but your love sits in every seat. Your sacrifices are woven into every assignment submitted, every exam passed, every dream pursued and every TSIBA student who chooses to keep going.

To our incredible female staff members, thank you for being more than colleagues and educators. You have become second friends, sisters, mentors and mothers to our students. 🤍 You create spaces where young women can ask questions, find their voices, make mistakes, try again and discover that they are capable of far more than they imagined.

To the female-led organisations and partners who have walked alongside us, thank you for creating platforms where our young women can be seen, heard and celebrated. For investing in their voices, talents, hope, individuality and pride. For reminding them that their stories matter, their ideas matter and their futures matter. 🌍✨

And to our female students, we see you. We have watched you celebrate one another, encourage one another, share opportunities, lend a helping hand, show up when someone is struggling and cheer loudly when another woman succeeds. That kind of sisterhood is powerful. There is room for all of you to rise. 🤝🏾💐

Today, we honour the women who lead loudly and those who love quietly. The women building businesses, raising families, pursuing degrees, creating opportunities, carrying communities, challenging systems, nurturing dreams and praying things into existence.

To every woman who has carried a TSIBA student, seen or unseen, this day is yours too.

Tomorrow, TSIBA is honoured to partner with one of our proud alumni, Chevano Frans, founder of Chev’s Kitchen, for a community soup kitchen outreach in Kewtown, Cape Town.

At TSIBA, we believe that the true measure of education is not only the knowledge we gain, but the impact we create. Seeing our alumni lead initiatives that restore dignity, inspire hope, and transform communities is a powerful reminder that leadership is rooted in service.

What began as an emergency feeding initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic has grown into a movement that serves over 5,000 meals every month, while creating opportunities, empowering young people, supporting families, and building pathways out of poverty. This is what it means to lead with purpose.

Our partnership with Chevano reflects the heart of TSIBA, to develop ethical, values, driven leaders who don’t simply pursue success for themselves but choose to Pay It Forward by uplifting others. Together, we are reminded that when communities, organisations, and changemakers unite, small acts of kindness become lasting movements of hope.

Tomorrow, we won’t simply be serving meals, we’ll be sharing compassion, building connections, and standing alongside a community that deserves to be seen, valued, and supported. Every bowl served is a reminder that dignity begins with care, and every conversation is an opportunity to inspire hope.

This Mandela Month, we proudly celebrate one of our own TSIBA Pay It Forward Heroes, Denver Van Den Bergh, whose inspiring 67 km Mandela Month Run reminds us that true leadership is demonstrated through service, compassion, and a commitment to uplifting others.

At TSIBA, we believe that meaningful impact begins when we choose to pay it forward. Denver’s extraordinary journey embodies the values of resilience, generosity, and purpose, inspiring communities to come together in the spirit of hope and positive change. His actions reflect the kind of ethical leadership we strive to cultivate in every TSIBA student and graduate.

As Nelson Mandela so powerfully said:

On 9 July, we hosted another impactful edition of Connect2Grow, bringing together industry leaders, professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and innovators for a thought-provoking discussion on “Human First, AI Forward: Old Gen vs New Gen Business.”

The room was filled with powerful perspectives as our incredible panel unpacked how artificial intelligence is reshaping the workplace while reminding us that people, purpose, and human connection must remain at the heart of innovation. From embracing technological change to preserving timeless leadership values, every conversation reinforced one important truth: the future belongs to those who can balance human intelligence with artificial intelligence.

One of the most inspiring moments of the evening was witnessing different generations engage in meaningful dialogue. We heard the wisdom and experience of established business leaders alongside the bold ideas, fresh perspectives, and innovative thinking of young voices. Together, they reminded us that progress isn’t about choosing between the old and the new, it’s about learning from one another and building the future together.
