Africa presents enormous opportunities, but it also comes with unique logistics, supply chain, infrastructure, and operational challenges. Hearing directly from industry leaders, manufacturers, logistics providers, and technology experts gives us valuable insight into where these challenges exist and, more importantly, how technology can help solve them.

As part of our visit to Kenya, we had the opportunity to spend time yesterday with the team at Signon Global Logistics.

With over 35 years of experience, Signon has become one of East Africa’s leading integrated logistics providers, offering freight forwarding, customs clearing, warehousing, distribution and transport solutions across the region.

One of the most fascinating aspects of their operation is the role they play in Kenya’s world-renowned tea industry. Signon provides specialised tea warehousing, blending and packaging services, supporting the movement of one of Kenya’s most valuable exports through the Mombasa Tea Auction before it reaches markets around the world.

Walking through their facilities gave us a first-hand appreciation for the scale, precision and planning required to keep supply chains moving efficiently. Behind every shipment is an operation built on accuracy, visibility and collaboration.
