In the last town we explored, we learned so much together. Thank you for all your comments and messages.

This time, the next town we shall be looking at is Chinsali.

But this time around, I want to make the learning about the origin of the town name Chinsali more interesting, and more interactive.

So here’s what I need from you:
Record yourself telling us about what you know about the origin of Chinsali in not more than 10 seconds, and send it to me.

Or, if you prefer, comment below. Or send me a message.
Whatever you’re comfortable with.

Let us relearn the origin of the town name Chinsali together.
I can’t wait to hear from you.

See you in the next one.

Writing Dance in the Rain….

The month of July has been a hard month for me.
I haven’t worked well. I haven’t slept well. I haven’t eaten well…..and physically, my body has been sick.

I prayed all I could. I cried all I could. Until I reached a point where I told God that I was leaving everything to Him.

In that place, God reminded me of His Word, of men who praised Him in the middle of their pain:

Job - he lost everything, yet said “Blessed be the name of the LORD”.

Paul and Silas - they were beaten and in prison yet they sung hymns at midnight.

David - he was pursued by enemies, yet he wrote Psalms of praise.

Habakkuk - there was no food in the fields, yet he rejoiced in the Lord.

Daniel - facing death, but he kept praying and giving thanks to God.

Jonah - in the belly of a fish, yet he thanked God.

The Lord Jesus Christ - before the cross, He gave thanks and surrendered.

So Praise isn’t denial of suffering; it is faith. It’s choosing to trust God in the middle of it.

This truth led me to write a few lines for “My Shining Light”. And later led me to declare that I can dance and give praise to the All-Knowing Creator even in the rain, the storm or whatever situation.

I love music, I love to sing. But, except for congregation praise and worship, I have not really sung in a long time. Yes, I was always in the praise teams at Primary School, Secondary School and College too…but in my adult life, no. 😊

So now… “Dance In The Rain” is in the making 🎶 (Thank God for “enyanced” beats and mixing).
