[Public Hearings]
ICASA will hold hybrid oral public hearings on the Draft Amendment to the Radio Frequency Spectrum Regulations, 2015, and the Draft Amendment to the Radio Frequency Spectrum Fees Regulations, 2010.
Members of the media and interested stakeholders are invited to attend the public hearings.
The online meeting link, copies of written representations and programme schedule will be published on the Authority’s website.

ICASA has officially launched the Electronic Frequency Information System (EFIS), an interactive digital platform that transforms how stakeholders accesses spectrum information.
The system allows stakeholders to search frequency bands, access technical and regulatory information, download supporting documents and navigate the National Radio Frequency Plan (NRFP) 2026 with ease, ALL in one place.

ICASA has published the Draft International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) Roadmap 2026 and its accompanying draft implementation plans for public consultation.
The roadmap provides a framework to guide the planning, management and assignment of radio frequency spectrum required to support current and future mobile broadband technologies, while advancing South Africa’s broadband connectivity objectives.
Interested stakeholders are invited to review the draft documents and submit written comments within the prescribed consultation period.

Today marks the commencement of the 7th Ordinary Session of the African Telecommunications Union (ATU) Conference of Plenipotentiaries (CPL-2026) in Abuja, Nigeria, where the South African delegation, led by H.E. Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Mr Mondli Gungubele, joins fellow ATU Member States, regulators and ICT stakeholders to shape the future of Africa's digital ecosystem.
The CPL is the highest decision-making body of the ATU and will, among others, elect the Secretary-General for the next term and the Member States that will serve on the ATU Administrative Council, while setting the strategic direction of the Union for the years ahead.
ICASA looks forward to engaging with regional partners to strengthen Africa's communications and digital landscape for an inclusive and connected digital future.
