There was a break at Molwetsi secondary school in Mogaladi village outside Marble Hall in the early hours of friday.

They Stole learner tablets(78), 3 laptops, 2 safes(with R6000) + cellphones taken from learners

⚖️ LEGAL 67 CAMPAIGN | A SUCCESSFUL
INITIATIVE 📚

Yesterday, Dennilton Educational Movement (DEM), in partnership with Matlwa KJ Attorneys and Advocate PP Thabede, successfully hosted the Legal 67 Campaign, reaching Grade 10–12 learners with valuable career guidance and legal education.

The campaign provided learners with an opportunity to explore the legal profession, understand the journey to becoming a legal practitioner, and appreciate the role of the law in building a just and democratic society. We trust that the knowledge shared has inspired many young people to pursue careers in law and to become future leaders committed to justice and service.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our partners, the participating schools, principals, educators, and every learner who actively participated. Your enthusiasm and engagement made the campaign a remarkable success.

7 THINGS THAT WOULD MAKE TEACHERS STAY

Everyone keeps asking how to recruit more teachers.

But keeping the great teachers we already have would solve a huge part of the problem.

If we want more teachers to stay in the profession, we need to start here:

1) Bring back meaningful consequences for disruptive behavior.

2) Give teachers more time to plan lessons and less time sitting in unnecessary meetings.

3) Stop expecting teachers to be parents, counselors, social workers, and behavior specialists all at once.

4) Reduce class sizes so teachers can actually teach and students can actually learn.

5) Pay teachers like the professionals they are.

6) Back teachers when they enforce reasonable expectations instead of questioning every decision.

7) Trust teachers' professional judgment and start listening to the people who actually work in classrooms.

The teacher shortage isn't just a recruitment problem.

It's a retention problem.

Teachers don't leave because they stop caring.

Too many leave because the job has become harder than it needs to be.
