Heidelberg Hospital staff members were reminded about the importance of remaining united in diversity and stay true to their identity. This comes after a Heritage Day celebration, which unfolded today.

During the keynote address, Heidelberg Hospital Acting Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Senate Sejake, highlighted the significance of residing in Gauteng Province amid Heritage Month.

"Heritage Month means we should know our roots, so that we know where we come from and keep the spirit of nation building. Living in Gauteng Province is so beautiful during times like these, you get to experience each and everyone's culture, because all cultures are found in this province. Seeing all of you as mixed cultures is such a wonderful experience," she explained.

A variety of cultural chanting and dance moves were the order of the day.

These activities were a clear indication that Heidelberg Hospital, alongside with other sister health facilities in Gauteng Province, are taking a stand against the brutal killings of women.

Patients’ knowledge was tested on Adverse Drug Reactions, Sexual Health, The Role of Pharmacists, and Chronic Medication, with prizes awarded.

The main idea of the Pharmacy Jeopardy was to reinforce any positive information that patients have and deconstruct myths patients might have regarding adverse drug reactions, sexual health, the role of Pharmacists, and chronic medicines.

In today's activities, the Pharmacy Jeopardy focused on staff members, where their knowledge was tested across several core areas. Various prizes were won.
