It took time to get the basics right, but well worth it in the end. Last winter, these raised beds saw their first few flowers bloom. This winter, these beds have been alive with flowers,insects and birds, with the prize specimens taking centre stage opposite the windows, allowing for ideal viewing conditions, particularly of the shyer birds.
Osteospermum are in the nursery right now! How's this perfect combination 🌱

I've had a number of folk contact me thinking that my food cage was decimated by the rats. Nope,worse! It was a client's garden. ðŸ˜.
We'll wait until the rat population has been dealt with before replacing the plants.
In the meantime, here's my cage. All organic, a bit of sharing 🦗 and producing enough food to share with friends.

Gone in a flash!
Planted out more than 300 veggie seedlings on Friday, and in 2 evenings, most of the seedlings have been chomped.
No sign of worms of any size or description, no slimy path of snail or slug. Could this be rats?
