AI transformation creates impact when organisations connect strategy, people, technology and responsible governance.
That was the defining theme of the Sasol AI Indaba 2026, where employees gained practical exposure to AI through exhibitions, masterclasses, leadership conversations, podcasts and the launch of the AI Lab Experience. The programme demonstrated how AI can help improve safety, operations, productivity, decision-making, employee experience and sustainable value creation.
Deloitte was proud to contribute to this journey as an exhibitor, sharing practical perspectives on AI adoption and business value. Our teams engaged with attendees throughout the event, fostering conversations around meaningful business challenges and exploring innovative approaches to responsible AI adoption.
We were equally honoured to have Arun Babu join an expert panel discussion , sharing insights on scaling AI responsibly while keeping people at the centre of transformation and to have Mosa Nyamande present a masterclass focused on translating AI ambition from use cases to value realisation.
A particular highlight was the launch of the AI Lab, a collaborative environment designed to help employees continue learning, ideating and responsibly exploring relevant AI use cases long after the event. As organisations accelerate their AI journeys, these spaces for experimentation, capability-building and collaboration will be critical to turning ideas into measurable impact.
