Mwari’s Counter-UAS capability just got stronger
Paramount Aerospace Industries has integrated ASELSAN’s ASELFLIR-500 electro-optical targeting system onto the multi-mission Mwari, part of a strategic collaboration between the two companies and a significant enhancement of the dedicated Mwari Counter-UAS configuration announced earlier this year.
Long-range electro-optical surveillance, precision target tracking and laser designation, on a platform already built for the mission.

On 30 June 2026, Paramount South Africa deployed six locally designed and manufactured Maatla protected mobility vehicles in support of the Border Management Authority across three strategic border crossings. Building on the successful Easter deployment at Lebombo, this operation reinforced frontline capability with enhanced protection, mobility, visibility, and operational support during a period of heightened border security activity. It also demonstrated the value of South African designed technology and public private collaboration in strengthening national security and supporting those on the front line.
