Thirty days from now, something quiet has shifted. 💜

A hard Tuesday that didn't become a lost week. A biscuit that stayed just a biscuit. A Monday with no new plan needed.

What Causes Stress?

Everyone experiences stress from time to time. There are different types of stress, and if they’re ignored, all of them can lead to physical and mental health risks. Routine stress, in particular, can contribute to heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, anxiety and depression.

How Can You Manage Stress?

Support your body and mind by:

• Moving your body regularly
• Practising relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation or yoga
• Connecting with family and friends
• Making time for activities you enjoy
• Eating balanced, healthy meals

These habits help strengthen your immune system and may reduce the impact of stress on your health. ❤️

Some mornings just don't go to plan... and that's okay. 💜

This morning I overslept, had deadlines waiting for me, and felt that familiar rush to get out the door.

Years ago, I would have let a morning like this throw my whole day off. But I've learnt that one stressful moment doesn't have to become a stressful day.

Today, I focused on two simple things: ✨ I nourished my body instead of skipping breakfast. ✨ I paused, reset, and focused on what I could control.
Real life isn't about having perfect mornings. It's about responding with kindness instead of panic.

If your day has started off a little chaotic too, remember this:
One busy morning doesn't define your day. One setback doesn't undo your progress.

Take a deep breath, do the next right thing, and keep moving forward.
💜 This time, we're choosing progress over perfection.

Do You Eat Above Your Set Point?

Eating habits alone don’t determine body size, genetics also plays a role, and we were never all meant to be “thin lizzies". Bodies naturally come in different shapes and sizes.

For years I cycled between starving myself and eating normally, only to regain all the weight. After developing an underactive thyroid, I chose to simply eat as healthily as I could without extreme deprivation. My body settled into its own natural rhythm, staying within a 4 kg range. I’m a size 14 (38), and I’ve learned to accept that this is my body’s set point.

Scientific studies show that the body has its own built‑in intelligence and prefers to maintain a certain weight, its set point. People who don’t constantly try to control their weight tend to stay very stable over time. Trying to push below your natural set point can slow your metabolism, making dieting frustrating and ineffective.

If you stay active, eat well most of the time, and remain within a safe weight range, accept your body. We are all different shapes and sizes, and that’s exactly how it’s meant to be.

The ‘last supper’ the night before every diet… 💜

That panic-eating is the diet doing damage before it's even begun. When nothing is forbidden, there's nothing to say goodbye to.

The most expensive sentence in the English language: ‘I've already ruined it.’ 😔

It's ended more healthy weeks than any food ever has.

Press play… and next time the voice shows up, you'll recognise it. 💜

My actual 3pm reset. Two minutes. That's it. 💜

Not fancy. Not a routine off Pinterest. Just a small pause that changes the whole afternoon.

Have a Sweet Tooth?
Swap sugar for fruit and jumpstart a healthier body today.

Sugar is made up of two components: fructose and glucose. Most fruits contain 30–60% fructose (even up to 65% in pears and apples), while table sugar is an even split of 50% fructose and 50% glucose. This makes fruit a far better choice when cravings strike.

Our bodies process these sugars differently.
Fructose is broken down in the liver and doesn’t trigger an insulin response.
Glucose, however, is metabolised in the stomach and causes insulin to be released into the bloodstream.

Fruit offers vitamins, antioxidants, water and fibre, while sweets and desserts offer no nutritional value at all. Fruit also contains far less sugar by volume. For example, a cup of strawberries has about 1.5 teaspoons of sugar, while a cup of strawberry ice cream contains around 7 teaspoons.

The fibre in whole fruit slows digestion, prevents insulin spikes and gives your body time to use glucose instead of storing it as fat.

Sugar itself isn’t toxic, but regularly eating excessive amounts of non‑nutrient foods, sweets, sugary drinks and desserts does create toxicity in the body over time.

If you have a sweet tooth, start replacing sugary drinks, juices and desserts with real fruit alternatives.
Your body is designed to thrive on natural, whole foods. 👍❤️

‘After the school term. After the deadline. After the visitors leave.’ 💜

There is no calm month coming. And you don't need one — you need small ways to look after yourself inside the noise.
