Meet the team | Kayleigh de Villiers 🦏🔬

What do you get when you mix conservation, nuclear science and a passion for rhinos? Meet Kayleigh.

Kayleigh de Villiers is an animal scientist specialising in nuclear and isotope techniques for wildlife protection. As an IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow, she leads isotope research that helps us investigate where rhinos come from, where they move, and what their movements can tell us about protecting them.

And when she’s not following the science, she’s making sure the science is done safely. Serving as The Rhisotope Project’s Radiation Protection Officer.

From isotope to rhino movements, Kayleigh is helping turn some pretty complex science into real-world conservation tools.

Because sometimes, protecting wildlife starts with asking the right scientific questions. 🧪🦏🌍
