What a truly blessed and joyful day at Strand South Congregation on Saturday 6 September 2026.
A heartfelt thank you to all our dear Brothers, Sisters, Friends and everyone who supported our Friendship Market Day. Your generosity, love and willingness to come together made the day truly special.
The South Easter certainly made its presence felt but even that couldn’t blow away the smiles, laughter, fellowship and wonderful spirit of everyone who joined us.
It was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when we come together in faith, love and unity. We are truly grateful for each person who contributed, supported, helped and shared in the joy of the day.
We now look forward with grateful hearts to a blessed Divine Service with our Friends tomorrow. May the love, joy and fellowship we shared today continue to fill our hearts.
God bless each and every one of you!

On Sunday, 30 August, we gathered for a festive divine service reflecting on the Fifth Commandment, focusing on God's command to respect, protect, and preserve human life. The service was conducted by our District Rector Joseph Lee, and we were further enriched as our Rector Priest Clinton Thomas was called upon to serve along.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐭: Exodus 20:13 (NKJV) "You shall not murder."
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞: God alone is Lord over life and death.
𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲:
■ The Fifth Commandment serves to protect human life.
■ Jesus Christ expands on the meaning of this commandment: violence already has its roots in anger and hatred, which are themselves violations of God's will.
■ We are called upon to respect, protect, and promote life.
■ Even if we at times fail in our endeavour to follow God's commandments, the following applies to the humble: His mercy is greater than our imperfection.
The divine service concluded majestically with the rendition of Hymn No. 54 “Joyfully singing” from the Choir Hymn Collection, performed by the choir and organ. Thereafter, the District Rector and Rector made time to greet the congregation.
Following the divine service, the ministers conducted the Sunday School lessons.
