☕ Tea Moments with Queen R — Day 121
Monday, 5 October 2026
Have You Ever Been Mad At God?
Can we be honest over today's cup of tea?
Have you ever been mad at God?
Not because you stopped believing in Him.
Not because you don't love Him.
But because something happened that hurt you, and you didn't understand why He allowed it.
Maybe you prayed for something for a long time and nothing changed.
Maybe you watched someone you love go through something painful.
Maybe you did everything you knew to do, prayed, believed, waited… and still ended up asking, “God, why?”
And then you felt guilty because you thought, “Surely I shouldn't feel like this. I'm supposed to trust God.”
But God already knows.
He knows the thoughts we don't say out loud.
He knows the questions we are afraid to ask.
He knows when our hearts are hurting.
So why do we feel like we have to hide those feelings from Him?
David questioned God. Job questioned God. They brought their pain straight to Him.
They didn't pretend.
And maybe that's something we can learn from them.
You can tell God you're hurt.
You can tell Him you're disappointed.
You can ask Him why.
You can even say, “God, I'm angry.”
That doesn't mean you've stopped believing.
Sometimes it simply means you're hurting and you don't understand.
Psalm 62:8 says:
“Pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”
Pour out your heart.
Not just the pretty parts.
Not just the words you think you're supposed to say.
All of it.
Because God would rather hear your honest heart than a perfect prayer that doesn't reflect how you really feel.
And maybe you don't need to have everything figured out before you talk to Him.
Just start with the truth.
“God, this is how I feel.”
He already knows.

☕👑 Day 120 — Who Are You With God When Nobody Is Watching?
Have you ever seen someone at church and thought,
“What a wonderful Christian.”
They're friendly.
They speak kindly.
They know all the right things to say.
They pray.
They worship.
They help others.
And then you see them at home...
And you wonder:
“Is this really the same person?”
It's something I've thought about before.
Because it's easy to look like a Christian in church.
But what about Monday morning?
What about when you're angry?
What about when someone gets on your nerves?
What about how you speak to your family?
How do you treat the people who can't do anything for you?
How do you speak to the person who disagrees with you?
That's where things get real.
Going to church doesn't automatically make us good people.
Knowing Scripture doesn't mean much if we use it to impress people but don't live by it.
And saying “God is good” on Sunday means very little if the people living in our homes only see anger, shouting, disrespect or cruelty during the week.
I'm not saying any of us are perfect.
We all have bad days.
We all get frustrated.
We all make mistakes.
But there's a difference between making mistakes and putting on a Christian image for other people while living completely differently behind closed doors.
Galatians 5:22–23 talks about the fruit of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Those things aren't only for Sunday.
They're meant to show up in our everyday lives too.
So maybe today's question isn't about the person sitting next to us in church.
Maybe it's about us.
If someone only knew me from church, would they recognise the person I am at home?
That's a hard question.
But maybe it's one worth asking.
Because our faith shouldn't only be something people hear from our mouths.
It should also be something they can see in the way we live.

☕👑 Day 119 — Can You Trust God When You Don’t Understand Him?
Let me be honest...
Trusting God is easy when things are going the way you want them to.
But what about when they aren't?
What about when you pray and nothing seems to change?
When you ask God for an answer, but you're still waiting?
When something happens and you sit there thinking,
“God, I really don't understand this.”
I've had those moments.
I'm sure many of us have.
We can believe in God and still have questions.
We can love God and still feel confused.
We can pray and still wonder why He hasn't done something yet.
And I think that's where trust becomes real.
Because if we understood everything God was doing, we wouldn't really need faith, would we?
Proverbs 3:5 says:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
That last part gets me...
“Lean not on your own understanding.”
Because my understanding is limited.
I only see what is happening right now.
God sees what I can't see.
So maybe I don't need to understand everything today.
Maybe I can simply say:
“God, I don't understand this, but I still trust You.”
That doesn't mean the questions disappear.
It doesn't mean waiting suddenly becomes easy.
It just means I choose not to let what I don't understand make me forget who God is.
And maybe that's something we can all think about today:
Can you trust God even when you don't understand what He's doing?

Day 118 — Do You Still Talk to God When You Don’t Need Anything?
Yesterday, we started our spiritual journey by asking ourselves where we are in our walk with God.
Today, I want to take the next step.
Let me ask you something…
Do you still talk to God when you don't need anything?
It's easy to pray when we need help.
When we're worried about our children.
When we need an answer.
When something has gone wrong.
When we're asking God to open a door or change a situation.
But what about the ordinary days?
The days when nothing is really wrong.
Do we still talk to Him then?
Do we tell Him about the little things that made us smile?
Do we thank Him just because we woke up?
Do we sit quietly and listen, instead of always having a list of things we need?
Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God.”
Sometimes our relationship with God can become so focused on what we need from Him that we forget that He simply wants us.
Not only our requests.
Not only our problems.
Not only our prayers when life becomes difficult.
Us.
Maybe talking to God doesn't always have to be a long prayer with the right words.
Sometimes it can be as simple as:
“God, thank You for today.”
“God, I saw something beautiful today and thought of You.”
“God, I don't need anything right now. I just wanted to talk to You.”
That's a relationship.
And perhaps that's something we can learn as we continue this spiritual journey together:
Don't only look for God when you need something. Get to know Him when everything is okay too.
So, here's today's question:
When was the last time you talked to God simply because you wanted to? ❤️

Day 117 — Where Are You In Your Walk With God?
Today, I want to start something a little different with our Tea Moments.
I want us to take a spiritual journey together.
Not a journey where I tell you how your relationship with God should look.
Not one where we compare our faith to someone else's.
Just a journey of looking honestly at where we are with God.
So let me ask you something:
Where are you in your walk with God right now?
Are you close to Him?
Are you struggling to pray?
Are you asking Him questions you don't have answers to?
Do you feel like your faith is stronger than it has ever been?
Or maybe you believe in God, but lately you feel a little distant.
Maybe you don't even know how to describe where you are.
And you know what?
You don't have to pretend.
God already knows.
He knows the prayers you haven't found the words for.
He knows the questions sitting in your heart.
He knows when you're trusting Him and when you're struggling to trust Him.
Psalm 37:23 says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.”
I love that because it reminds me that our walk with God is made up of steps.
Some steps are easy.
Some are confusing.
Sometimes we move forward with confidence.
Sometimes we stop because we don't know which way to go.
But wherever you are today, God knows exactly where you are.
So don't look at somebody else's relationship with God and think yours should look the same.
Your story with Him is yours.
Maybe today is simply about being honest enough to say:
“God, this is where I am.”
And perhaps that's where our Tea Moments spiritual journey begins.
Not with pretending we have it all figured out...
but with being honest about where we are and allowing God to meet us there.
☕❤️
So, where are you in your walk with God today?
☕👑 Until our next cup of tea...

🎷✨ MEET OUR NEXT CHRISTMAS CAROLS PICNIC ARTIST — DAYLON TAMBOER ✨🎷
I’m Daylon—a passionate musician, entrepreneur, and all-round creative based right here in the Eastern Cape. When I’m not working on cars, running projects, or spending time with family, you’ll usually find me with a saxophone in hand. Music has been a core part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I love using it to connect with people and create memorable moments.
My journey started nearly 18 years ago. I fell in love with the sound of the saxophone early on—there was just something about its tone that felt so voice-like, warm, and expressive. Over the years, that passion grew from practicing in my room to performing live at weddings, local events, and special gatherings. It’s been an incredible ride of learning, growing, and sharing my love for music.
To me, music is a universal language and a form of expression when words simply aren't enough. It has the power to shift an atmosphere, heal, comfort, and bring people together regardless of where they come from. It’s not just something I play; it’s how I share a piece of my heart with others.
I draw a lot of inspiration from smooth R&B, classic soul, and rich melodies, but my biggest inspiration when I’m on stage is the audience. Watching someone smile, relax, or connect with a song brings the music to life. I play to evoke real emotion and to give people a chance to take a breath and just feel the moment.
Being part of the Christmas Carols Picnic is a huge honor. Christmas is always a time for community, togetherness, and reflection. The theme “RESTORED” speaks so deeply to what many of us need a renewal of hope, joy, peace, and spirit after everything life throws our way. Being able to use the saxophone to bring harmony and a sense of restoration to everyone attending is something truly special to me. 🎷❤️
We can't wait to experience Daylon's beautiful saxophone sounds at the Christmas Carols Picnic on 13 December 2026. 🎄✨

Day 116 — Do You Miss Having Something to Look Forward To?
Have you ever had a time in your life when you realised you don't really have anything you're excited about?
Not because something is wrong.
Not because you're unhappy with everything you have.
Life is just… routine.
You wake up, do what needs to be done, go to work, take care of the children, handle the house, pay the bills, run the errands, go to church, come home, sleep… and then you do it all again.
And somewhere in between all the responsibilities, you realise:
“When was the last time I had something to look forward to?”
It doesn't have to be something big.
It could be a weekend away.
A birthday.
A concert.
A dinner with someone you haven't seen in a while.
Starting something you've always wanted to try.
Planning a little outing.
Even something as simple as knowing that Saturday morning is yours to enjoy a cup of coffee and do absolutely nothing. ☕❤️
Sometimes we get so used to doing what needs to be done that we forget how good it feels to have something that makes us smile when we think about it.
Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
Maybe having something to look forward to isn't about waiting for some huge change in our lives.
Maybe it's about allowing ourselves to have little things that bring excitement back into ordinary days.
So let me ask you today:
What is something you would love to have on your calendar right now that would make you think, “I can't wait for that”?
It doesn't have to be practical.
It doesn't have to make sense to anyone else.
It can simply be something that makes you smile.
Because life shouldn't only be about getting through the next day.
Sometimes, we need something that makes us look at the days ahead and say…
“I'm looking forward to that.” ❤️

Day 115 — Tea Conversation ☕🌸
The Things People Don’t See About Being a Single Mother
Today’s Tea Moment is a personal one.
Being a single mother is so much more than raising children without a partner.
There is no one to say, “I’m tired, can you take over?” You are the one making the decisions, handling the responsibilities, and finding a way when things get difficult.
And financially, it can be exhausting.
When there isn't a reliable support system, you don't always have the option of saying, “I can't afford it.” Your children's needs come first, so somehow you make a plan.
You put yourself last more times than you can count.
And sometimes, being a single mother also means being treated differently.
You aren't invited because you're not married. You don't quite fit into certain plans because you don't have a partner.
But I have children.
I have a family. I have a place at the table too.
Being single doesn't make my family less of a family.
I'm not saying every single mother has the same experience. Some have wonderful support systems and dependable co-parents.
But some of us don't.
Some of us are doing most of it alone, while quietly wondering when we will get a chance to breathe.
So if you know a single mother, don't only ask about her children.
Ask about her too.
Because behind the woman who keeps making a plan is a woman who gets tired too.
And she deserves a place at the table. ❤️

Day 114 — Tea Conversation ☕🌸
Different Generations, Same Feelings
Have you ever noticed how something that was normal when you were growing up can seem completely strange to someone younger?
And then there are things young people do today that leave older people thinking, “What is going on?” 😂
The world has changed.
The way we communicate has changed.
The way we make friends has changed.
The way we work, learn, date, shop and even entertain ourselves has changed.
But here's the interesting part...
Our feelings haven't changed nearly as much as the world around us has.
Years ago, someone could sit next to the telephone waiting for a certain person to call.
Today, someone sits staring at their phone waiting for a message.
Different technology.
Same anticipation.
Someone years ago could hear a song and immediately think of someone special.
Today, someone can hear that same kind of song and suddenly find themselves scrolling through old photos.
Different way of remembering.
Same feeling.
A young person can feel left out because everyone else seems to be having a better life online.
An older person can look around at other people's homes, families, careers or successes and wonder why their own life doesn't look like that.
Different generation.
Same comparison.
Maybe that's what makes generations less different than we think.
The details change.
The world changes.
The way we express ourselves changes.
But that little human part of us that gets excited, disappointed, jealous, hopeful, nervous, proud, hurt and happy?
That part hasn't changed much at all.
And perhaps that's why we shouldn't be so quick to dismiss something just because we experienced life differently.
We may not recognise the world someone else is growing up in...
But we might recognise the feeling they're trying to describe.
Different generations.
Different worlds.
Same human heart. ❤️

Day 113 — Tea Conversation ☕🌸
Maybe You Don’t Need a Fresh Start. Maybe You Need a Fresh Perspective.
Have you ever reached a point where you thought, “I need to start all over again”?
Maybe you want a new job, a new routine, a new plan, a new beginning… because what you're doing now doesn't seem to be working.
But what if you don't actually need to start over?
What if you just need to look at things differently?
Sometimes the situation hasn't changed, but the way we see it has.
The problem may still be there, but perhaps you now see an option you didn't see before.
The door may still be closed, but maybe you're no longer standing at the same door.
And sometimes God doesn't change the situation immediately because He is changing the way we see it.
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you…”
That verse reminds me that just because I don't understand what is happening right now, doesn't mean God doesn't have a plan.
So before you decide that you need to throw everything away and start again, take a moment and ask yourself:
“Do I really need a fresh start, or do I need to look at this with fresh eyes?”
Maybe the answer will surprise you. ❤️
Sometimes the biggest difference isn't what changes around us.
Sometimes it's what changes in the way we see it.
