Here's your reminder to get outside today and move your beautiful body 🌻
These movements can take 1 minute and help to get your heart rate going, your lymph flowing and fascia gliding. Go at your own pace and level.

Self-care is not selfish. Taking care of your body helps you to take care of everything else.

Gentle daily movement matters more than you think.

You don't need an intense workout to look after your body. A little gentle movement every day supports your circulation, joints, energy and mood, and helps prevent the stiffness that builds up when we sit still for too long.

Easy ways to start:
• 5 minutes of gentle stretching each morning
• A short walk around the garden or block
• Stand up and move every 30–60 minutes, do air squats or lymphatic hops
• Simple balance work, like shifting your weight from one leg to the other

Start slow, listen to your body and never push through pain. Consistency matters more than perfection.

Over the next few weeks I'll be sharing more, including simple exercises you can easily fit into your day. Follow along so you don't miss them.

What's one small move you'll add to your day?

Have you ever watched a cat wake up from a nap? It doesn't just get up — it stretches, contracts, and releases in one long, instinctive movement. That's called pandiculation, and it's the body's natural way of unwinding tension.

Myofascial release (sometimes called myofascial unwinding) works in a similar way. It's a gentle, therapeutic technique that targets the fascia — the web of connective tissue surrounding your muscles, organs and nerves. When fascia becomes tight from stress, injury or poor posture, it can lead to chronic pain, restricted movement, and even emotional tension.

Because the body is interconnected, tightness in one area can show up as pain somewhere else — tight hips, for example, often show up as lower back pain.

Through gentle, sustained pressure and mindful movement, myofascial release helps the body unwind these patterns — easing pain, improving mobility, and building better body awareness along the way. Many clients also find it supports emotional release, since physical and emotional tension are often held together.

If you've been carrying tension that just won't shift, this might be worth exploring. WhatsApp me on 072 964 9014 to find out more. 🌿

Earlier this year I completed a Fascia Release course, adding fascia release and myofascial unwinding to my hands-on toolkit. 🌿

Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps around your muscles, joints and organs — when it gets tight or restricted, it can show up as stiffness, restricted movement, or tension that doesn't seem to budge no matter how much you stretch. Myofascial unwinding works with the body's own release patterns to gently ease that tension and restore movement.

I'm already weaving these techniques into sessions, especially for clients dealing with chronic tightness or areas that "just won't let go."

Curious whether fascia work could help you? Book a session or send me a message and we can chat about it.

Historically, fascia was treated as a kind of packing material—the tissue you divided to expose the "important" structures underneath (muscles, organs, and nerves) and then discarded.

Today, research paints a completely different picture. We now know fascia is a dynamic, force-transmitting, richly innervated network. With roughly 250 million nerve endings, many scientists consider it the body’s largest sensory organ!
