Engaging in leisure activities like football, chess, or checkers can be enjoyable, but excessive competition might lead us astray from our spiritual path.
Prioritizing work and responsibilities, as seen in tending to the garden, can help us stay grounded and focused on what truly matters.
By refocusing on our duties and spiritual growth, we can cultivate a more meaningful and purposeful life.
This is what Ellen white has to say :
*But there is great need of temperance in amusements, as in every other pursuit. And the character of these amusements should be carefully and thoroughly considered. Every youth should ask himself, What influence will these amusements have on physical, mental, and moral health? Will my mind become so infatuated as to forget God? Shall I cease to have His glory before me?*
