PS KAWANA PRAISES POLICE FOR PROMOTING PEACE AND SECURITY

Ministry of Information and Media Permanent Secretary, Mr. Thabo Kawana, has commended the Zambia Police Service for its continued efforts in maintaining peace and security in the country.

Mr. Kawana made the remarks when he visited the Police exhibition stand during the 98th Agricultural and Commercial Show in Lusaka.

Mr. Kawana praised police officers for their dedication and professionalism in serving the nation, noting that public confidence in the Service is built through transparent, accountable and respectful policing.

Zambia Police Service Spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr. Godfrey Chilabi, highlighted the Service’s key responsibilities, including crime prevention and investigation, traffic management, victim support services, forensic examinations and community policing.

Mr. Kawana said the exhibition provided the public with an opportunity to understand the wide range of services offered by the Zambia Police Service. He urged officers to continue upholding discipline and professionalism as they carry out their mandate of protecting citizens and maintaining national security.

MYSA PRESENTS CERTIFICATES TO AFRICA CREATIVE MARKET PARTICIPANTS AND VOLUNTEERS

Director of Arts in the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts, Ms. Esther Ng'ambi, has presented certificates to young people who successfully completed photography and videography training during the Africa Creative Market (ACM). She also presented certificates to volunteers who contributed to the successful hosting of the Creative Industries Business Summit (CIBS), Africa Creative Market (ACM), and Kwimbo activities.

The certificates recognised participants for completing practical skills training aimed at strengthening opportunities in the creative sector. Volunteers were honoured for their dedication, teamwork, and commitment throughout the events.

The presentation reaffirmed the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts' continued support for initiatives that equip young people with practical skills. It also recognised their contribution to the growth of Zambia's creative industry.

The Ministry says such initiatives remain important in empowering young people with industry-relevant skills while promoting the continued growth of Zambia's creative sector.
