Nobody talks about how exhausting it is to be the firstborn daughter—the woman everyone expects to be strong, responsible, independent, and yet somehow still asks, “So when are you getting married?” 💔

Being a firstborn girl who takes care of herself, pays her own bills, carries family responsibilities, and is constantly trying to build a better life is not easy.

You are expected to have your life together, to be there for everyone, to solve problems, to sacrifice, to provide—and at the same time, you are living in a society that keeps reminding you that your ultimate achievement should be marriage.

Sometimes I want to scream, “Can you see everything I have already carried?”

I am not against marriage. I want love. I want companionship. I want a family of my own. But I refuse to believe that my life is incomplete simply because I am not married yet.

Some of us are not late. We are just carrying responsibilities that people don’t see. ❤️
