🌱 Chimana Joins the Green Journey 🌳
Today, Green Institute, in partnership with the Forestry Commission Zimbabwe , proudly planted 320 fruit trees at Chimana Primary School and Orphanage under the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Transboundary Integrated Sustainable Management of Miombo Woodlands Project.
With this milestone, Chimana joins Emerald Primary and Secondary Schools in transforming learning spaces into orchards of nourishment, sustainability, and climate resilience. These orchards are more than sources of fruit — they are living classrooms where children learn that climate justice begins with hands in the soil and hearts committed to change. 🌍💚
Together, we are working towards the wider goal of planting 8 000 fruit trees in Ward 19, Chipinge District ensuring that schools and communities grow stronger, healthier, and greener for generations to come.
