One of the key lessons shared by Nigel Chanakira during his conversation with the Eight2Five startup community was the importance of building businesses around efficiency, quality, and strong systems.
Growth does not happen by chance. It requires discipline, perseverance, and a mindset that refuses to give up, a “I will not be denied” attitude that pushes you to keep showing up, improving, and raising the standard.

Yesterday, our VCC alumni and members of the Eight2Five startup community had the privilege of engaging with Nigel Chanakira in an insightful conversation on entrepreneurship and leadership.
One key takeaway was the importance of being hands-on in your business, developing the right attitude, and intentionally placing yourself in environments that fuel growth.
Conversations like these matter because they give founders the opportunity to learn from leaders who have built, faced challenges, and risen again, offering practical lessons that can shape stronger businesses.

TBT 🌍✨ Last week, we took entrepreneurs one step closer to expanding beyond borders through the DHL Trade & Grow Beyond Borders programme.
From understanding logistics and choosing the right partners, to exploring e-commerce opportunities, financial management, and protecting businesses through insurance and risk management, participants gained practical insights to support their growth journeys.
