Simukai at the TelOne Wellness Programme 2026
Today and on 27 August 2026, Simukai Child Protection Programme is excited to be participating in the TelOne Wellness Programme.
As part of our participation, we are engaging and sensitising TelOne staff members and stakeholders on the child protection and community-based services offered by Simukai, while also creating awareness about our programmes and opportunities for community support.
We are also taking this opportunity to market the Simukai Vocational Training Hub and share information on the various vocational courses available.

ποΈ HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES | REST IN PEACE, MBONISI TSHUMA
It is with profound sadness that Simukai Child Protection Programme joins the Bantwana Zimbabwe family, the child protection sector, and the wider NGO fraternity in mourning the untimely passing of Mbonisi Tshuma, Executive Director of Bantwana Zimbabwe.
As consortium partners under the ECHO-ARISE Project, we had the privilege of working alongside Mbonisi and witnessing his commitment, professionalism and passion for advancing the protection and wellbeing of children. He was an exceptional team player and a dedicated leader who served the Child Protection sector with excellence.
His passing is a tremendous loss, not only to Bantwana Zimbabwe, but to the many colleagues, partners, communities and children whose lives were impacted by his leadership and service.
We extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to his wife and children, his entire family, friends, colleagues, the Bantwana Zimbabwe family, and the NGO fraternity at large. May you find strength and comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
We honour Mbonisi's life, his service and the legacy he leaves behind.

Simukai Child Protection Programme (SCPP), under the Urban Futures Project, invites qualified consultants and firms to submit proposals for the:
DEVELOPMENT OF A DIGITAL GREEN MARKET PLATFORM
Empowering Women and Youth Green Entrepreneurs for a Sustainable Food Future
The assignment seeks to develop an innovative, user-friendly, mobile-responsive and scalable digital marketplace that will connect women and youth green entrepreneurs with consumers, institutions and other potential buyers.
The platform will strengthen local food systems by improving market access, shortening supply chains and enabling direct marketing of sustainably produced agro-products in Mutare and the wider region.
Key areas of the assignment include:
β’ System design and user-interface development
β’ Development of a mobile-responsive platform (app/website)
β’ Integration of secure payment systems and user profiles
β’ Testing and deployment of the platform
β’ Development of user manuals and delivery of training
β’ Training of women and youth green entrepreneurs
β’ Development of a sustainability plan
The initiative aims to enhance market access and income opportunities for at least 30 women- and youth-led enterprises supported under the Urban Futures Project.

Simukai Child Protection Programme (SCPP), under the Urban Futures Project β Skills for the Green Economy, invites qualified consultants and firms to submit proposals for:
π± Consultancy to Integrate Green Technologies into Food Preservation Systems
The consultancy will support women- and youth-led urban agri-enterprises in Mutare to reduce post-harvest losses, improve product quality and increase market value through climate-smart technologies such as solar-powered drying, improved storage, refrigeration and processing technologies.
The selected consultant will undertake a needs assessment, identify appropriate and cost-effective green technologies, develop training materials, and provide hands-on training to women and youth entrepreneurs on the operation, maintenance and repair of the selected technologies.

π Climate-Smart Technology Training Manual
The consultancy will support the development of high-quality training resources designed to equip young people with relevant green, digital and climate-smart skills for a more resilient and sustainable future.
The successful consultant will develop manuals that are practical, interactive, gender-responsive and inclusive, incorporating participatory learning approaches and locally relevant examples aligned with Zimbabweβs development priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
