The Highland Club

10/1/26.... It may be October, but in South Louisiana… your AC is still the main character. ❄️

Be kind to the hardest-working member of your household:
✨ Keep vents clear
✨ Keep doors & windows closed while it’s running
✨ Don’t crank the thermostat way down hoping it’ll cool faster — it won’t!

And while we’re talking about hard-working MVPs… HUGE shoutout to the best maintenance team in the world! 🛠️💙 We appreciate everything they do to keep The Highland Club running!

Fall weather will get here eventually. Right? RIGHT?! 😂🍁

P.S. stay tuned for our October event announcement!… 🎃👀 More info coming soon!

🍂 September 22: First Day of Fall

The rest of the country:
🧥🍁☕ Sweater weather!

Louisiana:
☀️🥵🔥 Best I can do is 94°.

That's okay. We're turning down the lights, lighting the pumpkin candles and pretending.

Happy Fall, Highland Club! 🎃😂

When your WiFi and phones are down for the morning, you improvise!

EDIT: all systems back up and running now 💻📶📞

Cox WiFi is down in the area. They are predicting service should be restored around noon. Office phones are also down as they are serviced by Cox. We are unable to access any of our systems at the moment. Thank you for your patience as Cox resolves this!! 🙏

🀄️ Mahjong Open Play Night! 🀄️

The tiles were clicking, the tables were full, and the competition was just friendly enough...

We had such a great time at our first Mahjong Open Play Night! We loved seeing familiar faces from our lesson come back to play, along with new players jumping in and joining the fun.

Thank you to everyone who came out, brought their game face and helped each other along💕

Something tells us this won’t be our last Open Play Night. 🀄️✨

🔧 **MAINTENANCE MONDAY** 🔧
Your garbage disposal is brave.
Your garbage disposal is hardworking.
Your garbage disposal is **not a wood chipper.** 😂

A few ways to keep it happy:

🚽 MAINTENANCE MONDAY 🔧

Your toilet is clogged.

This is not the time to believe in yourself and flush again. 😂

If the water starts rising:

🛑 STOP FLUSHING.
💧 Find the water supply valve on the wall behind your toilet, near the floor.
↪️ Turn it clockwise (to the right) until it stops.
📲 Submit a maintenance request through your LOFT portal.

And while we have your attention...

🚫 “Flushable” wipes? Nope.
🚫 Paper towels? Nope.
🚫 Feminine products? Nope.
🚫 Q-tips, cotton balls, food, grease, or anything else that isn't toilet paper? Also nope.

When in doubt, remember: toilet paper + human waste. That's the guest list. 🚽

Knowing where that little water valve is before you need it can save you—and your bathroom floor—a whole lot of trouble. 😅

☀️ THIS OR THAT THURSDAY: LOUISIANA SUMMER EDITION 🥵

You just walked from your car to your apartment and somehow aged 11 years.

What’s your FIRST move?

🌀 Stand directly under the ceiling fan like your life depends on it

OR

🧊 Open the fridge and stare inside like the cold air is free therapy

Choose wisely. 😂👇
